1. Overview & Scope

Welcome to Dexzo ("we", "our", or "us"). We operate the Dexzo QR-based contactless dining, digital menu, and restaurant management platform accessible via our web application and progressive web app (PWA). We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of both restaurant operators ("Merchants") and dining customers ("Customers" or "End Users").

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, store, process, and protect personal and operational information when you use our services.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information necessary to facilitate seamless food ordering, table management, and payment reconciliation:

• Customer Data: Phone number (for order verification and SMS/WhatsApp bill updates), table number, order history, dietary preferences, and session identifiers. We do not require app downloads or social media logins from dining customers.
• Restaurant / Merchant Data: Restaurant name, owner contact details (name, email, phone), physical location address, menu catalog, tax rates (GST), bank/UPI payout information, and subscription payment history.
• Payment Information: When you pay online (via UPI, Card, or Net Banking), payment transactions are securely handled directly by authorized RBI-licensed payment gateways (including Razorpay and Cashfree). Dexzo does not store raw credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs on its servers.
• Technical & Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and interaction logs strictly used for operational diagnostics, performance optimization, and fraud prevention.

3. How We Use Your Data

The information collected is used exclusively for:

• Relaying orders placed at tables in real-time to the respective restaurant kitchen (KOT system).
• Generating digital receipts, invoices, and billing summaries.
• Enabling customer service calls (e.g., calling the waiter or requesting water from the table).
• Processing software subscription invoices and partner commission disbursements.
• Preventing unauthorized access, fraudulent orders, and system abuse.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any marketing agencies or third parties. We share data solely with:

• The Restaurant Partner: Relevant order items and table numbers are transmitted directly to the restaurant where you are dining.
• Payment Aggregators: Transaction data is securely transmitted to Razorpay / Cashfree for real-time payment authentication.
• Legal Obligations: We may disclose information if mandated by applicable Indian laws or government authorities.

5. Security Standards

All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols. Our infrastructure employs role-based access control, firewall isolation, and continuous security monitoring.
